Of Cherokee/Creek/Scot-Irish ancestry, multi-award winning author/poet Four Arrows (Wahinkpe Topa), aka Don Trent Jacobs, Ph.D., Ed.D., is former Dean of Education at Oglala Lakota College and current ly a professor with Fielding Graduate University. He is the award-winning author of 19 books and more than 100 chapters and articles on topics relating to Indigenous worldview, education, criticial inquiry and social/ecological justice (see www.teachingvirtues.net). He is the recipient of the 2004 Martin-Springer Institute Moral Courage Award. He lives with his artist wife in Mexico.
