On Saturday, 25 September, Savant Books and Publications hosted a "Meet the Publisher" Afternoon Coffee at Cafe 2600 from 4 to 6 p.m. with over 20 local readers, writers, authors, editors, screenwriters, publicists and producers attending. It was a wonderful chance for everyone to meet, one-on-one and talk book publishing. The event was so successful, we've decided to make it a regular, approximately bi-weekly event, at least for the time being.

NEXT EVENT is Saturday, 16 October 2010, from 4 to 6 p.m. featuring a Book Release Party for national award-winning author Daniel S. Janik's newest childrens book, A WHALE'S TALE.  The author will appear, in person, to sign and dedicate books. Books can be purchased for $10.00 ($12.95 on Amazon.com and at major bookstores), and will be available at $12.95 for two weeks following the party at Rainbow Books and Records, just across the street from Cafe 2600.  For a downloadable Adobe.pdf flyer to post and distribute, click here.

The FOLLOWING EVENT will be on Saturday, 30 October 2010, from 4 to 6 p.m. and feature a Book Release Party for international multi-award winning author William Maltese's FLICKER. William will appear, via Skype to chat with attendees. Both of his Savant publications, FLICKER and DARE TO LOVE IN OZ will be purchasable for $15.00 ($16.95 on Amazon.com and at major bookstores), and will be available at $16.95 for two weeks following the party at Rainbow Books and Records, just across the street from Cafe 2600.  For a downloadable Adobe.pdf flyer to post and distribute, click here.

Cafe 2600 is located in the University of Hawaii at Manoa district at 2600 South King St. (near University and King Streets). Convenient bus-stop and drivers can get 1 hour free parking at Puck's Alley with validation.
