NAVEL OF THE SEA (Savant 2019) is a collection of vignettes embedded within a novel about the two writers of the stories, husband and wife, Claude and Marianne, who have retired to live on the Maltese island of Gozo, Italy.

Each story takes place in a different country during select time periods of history, spanning the golden age of ancient Greece to our modern era, and containing a common thread: unconventional romances. Claude and Marianne, married for 30 years, receive anonymous postcards that dictate the century and setting for each story. At the end of the novel, their final story tells how they first met and fell in love, and the sender of the postcards is revealed.
